I think both can be beneficial in different ways.

Technically, a life insurance is for long-term use. Its accumulated funds and sum assured will be used for your retirement, sudden death, accident, or unexpected illness.

Health cards will be useful on a daily basis. Its fund doesn’t accumulate but they can be used anytime needed. This is of course useful only when the card is used in accredited hospitals.

But, here’s the thing. You got sick but you only have a life insurance. Will you be able to get some funds? Not really.

You’re about to retire but you don’t have life insurance. Will you be able to get savings from your health card? Nope.

Both are beneficial! Don’t hesitate in spending around 50,000php annually by getting both. Those are low compared to the money you pay for movie tickets, trips, and others.

PLS! Include memorial plan too. Better be safe than sorry for the family members or loved ones or yourself for not knowing where to get funds.
