We are in a world that is full of pretentiousness. We tend to see a lot of artificial things and even meet fake personalities. We are not true anymore to ourselves. We tend to impress others and fool all the people around us. It is not just lying that makes the people sinful but also being hypocrite most of the time.

Hypocrisy is the act of who pretending to be what the person is not, specifically, one who pretends to be pious, virtuous, or morally upright. We usually encounter this word whenever we here stories from the bible. Those Pharisee were always tagged as Hypocrite.

Now, not only Pharisee were considered hypocrite but also many of us. You may think that you are not. I hope so. Let’s try to assess ourselves. I’ll list three situations below where you can think and check yourself if you are committing Hypocrisy.

    1. Posting pictures on social media to impress people.

Have you posted something on social? Perhaps,  a photo of you eating in fancy restaurant? What was the real story behind that photo? Did you fight or argue with someone there? yet you were smiling as if nothing happened.  Perhaps, you had a lot of money on that time? or short in budget? What was the reason that you were there? Did you just post it to express yourself or you want other people to recognize your life?

    2. Commenting on issues you really don’t have expertise

Have you encounter a know-it-all person? Someone who pretends to know a lot. Someone who speaks only based on his/her experience. As for example, many are commenting  about how government should handle a certain situations, but they, themselves, don’t know how to solve their own problems. When you comment on something, make sure that you know how to practice what you are saying.

You keep on commenting about the budget of the government but you don’t know how to budget at home.  You keep on saying about corrupt officials but you, yourselves, are also committing it. Do you pay taxes? Do you report the exact number of hours of your work? Do you do your work properly even your boss is not around? I guess, many are really hypocrite.

    3. Supporting and buying fake products

Do you buy fake shoes or bags? I’m pro poor but I also support legal actions.

Do you let someone install a cracked windows or Microsoft word office in your laptops or pc?  Do you use hacked accounts to avoid premium payments?  If yes, then you know who you are now.

Hypocrisy is widely practiced by everyone. Even me, I am not totally clean. I just hate people saying that they need to do this and that. I hate reading Facebook comments and tweets of people pretending that they know almost everything and that they are totally clean and perfect.

I just want people to realize, even you and I, that we are all sinners. Instead of making noise in social media, let’s try to help and support one another for we are not perfect. No one knows everything. No one can survive without the others.  We are all created to get connected and to bring peace, positivity and unity.
