Are you wondering regarding the differences between “Mission” and “Vision?” If yes, don’t worry. You are not alone. I was puzzled too for a long time. You are in the right place. I am going to explain today the differences between these two.

When we were in high school and college, we did not actually care about the mission and vision of our school. We disregarded it and just read it without really appreciating and understanding its true meaning.

    Let’s start with  MISSION.

Mission is what you want to do NOW! This also includes the people who will benefit from the act that you are serving or practicing at the moment. As in now! If I am going to ask you, what is the mission of your company? It simply means, what is your company doing now? What are you services? Who are people benefiting from it now?

On the other hand, VISION pertains to your future ambitions, dream, act, or goal.

Vision is for tomorrow or for the future. Your company has a vision as well. This is their aim. If let’s say, you company has a service about photocopying. They might want to be a chain of photocopy centers across the country. Perhaps, they might want also to reduce the use of paper or bring photocopying in the next level.

It’s really easy right?  Mission is for NOW. Vision is for TOMORROW.

I hope I made it easy for you to understand. Feel free to add more explanations below.
