We are in a time that natural resources are starting to deplete. One of it is our WATER.  One can’t live without water. It is the primary source of life. Even if water covers most part of the earth, we only have limited amount of drinkable water. Most of it are salt water.  There is really a need to protect fresh water resources such rivers, lakes, swamps, etc.

It is very important that everyone understands the possibility of loosing water source in the near future. We should all participate in conserving water. Today, I am just going to share some of the ways on how to conserve water whenever we are at home or we are at the office.

    1.  Use water glass whenever brushing your teeth

Most of the time, we directly use the water faucet and we let the water running whenever we brush our teeth. It is a very impractical and wasteful way of using water. Instead, we can use a glass, a bottle, or any cup that can hold water. By doing this, we know that we are using enough amount of water.

    2. Place all used water in a bucket or container

We can all save water by putting all used water in a container.  Whenever you are taking a bath or washing your clothes, don’t throw the water right away. You can use it to water your plants or even flushing your toilet bowl.

    3. Limit the use of shower, instead use a bucket to control water use

Similar in brushing your teeth, you can also conserve water by limiting yourself in using shower. To control water use, you can use a bucket.  You will get amazed that you can actually take a bath by consuming 1-2 buckets of water.

    4.  Schedule your laundry.

Whether you go to a laundry shop or you do it yourself at home, having definite schedule of your laundry can help conserve water.  Instead of doing your laundry twice or thrice, do it once a week. Whatever laundry machine your are using, it will consume the same amount of water.  Imagine how much water you can save if you all do your laundry once in a week.

    5.  Fix water leakage

Finding water leak does not only conserve water but also helps you save money from high water bills. Start checking your water lines and old rusty faucet in your backyard.  This may contribute to unnecessary spill of water.

Those are the simple ways on how we can save up water. It is very easy and everyone can do it. I’ll be happy to hear other suggestions that you can provide here.

Thank you so much for reading. 🙂
