They say that “YOLO” is bad, but for me, it depends to the person.

The “Financial people” always say, ” don’t waste your money for temporary stuff like in travelling and in eating to expensive restaurants.” I agree to them but it’s not applicable to everyone.

“YOLO” is the acronym for “You Only Live Once.” This is common now to our generations.  I feel the need to explain the side of those people who appreciate the idea of “YOLO”

You know what, I agree with the idea of saving money and not wasting it to something that does not benefit you in the future. However, we cannot generally ask everyone to do it because of the differences in financial status and life perspective.

One may accept the idea of “YOLO” if he or she has the financial capability.  Truth be told, there are people who are born in rich family. As early as grade school, they have savings already and investments. We cannot stop them from travelling or enjoying their life because they are lucky to have money in their pockets. It is not their fault. There are just lucky because their parents worked hard for them. They are just reaping the perseverance of there parents. There are not wasting money. They just have enough of it.

One may also accept “YOLO” if he or she values the beauty of life through exploring the creation of God. We have different definitions of happiness. One may find happiness in watching movies. Another may find it in having a lot of money. So we cannot easily tell someone to agree with you regarding the idea of “savings.” We can’t force them to stop what makes them happy.

There are tons of reasons that I want to add but to simply say this. Ideas varies from person to person. One may be good to you but not to others.  We just need to find where we belong and what is applicable to us base on the condition where you are right now.

I hope, I made my point clear. I’m just sharing my thoughts here to defend young people who are practicing “YOLO.”
